About

I grew up around the waters of the Semporna Archipelago in Sabah, Malaysian Borneo – an area in the Coral Triangle which is famous for it’s rich marine biodiversity, vibrant, coral reefs and sea nomads traditions. Before I learnt to read books, I learnt to read the sea: it’s tides, it’s currents and how to live in harmony with it to survive. It taught me patience, awareness and respect for nature. Skills which still guide me through life today.

Now, I work as a freelance dive instructor and snorkel guide as well as coordinating and guiding tours to visit the sea nomad communities. I love sharing stories with my guests, stories about my life, about my community and about the sea – my home.
